In 1866, the Alpha Beta chapter of Beta Theta Pi was the first Greek fraternity on The University of Iowa campus. With such an important history in the Greek society at the University, it is exciting that the chapter recolonized in the Fall of 2005. Since then, the colony has been continuing to grow in quality and quantity. |

Iowa City Flood Update |

Please note that the house is currently only accessible from the east via Brown St due to the flooding on Dubuque St and construction on Church St. There are signs in place indicating that Brown St is closed, however the Beta house is considered local traffic. The brothers remaining in Iowa City through the summer showed their support for the University and surrounding community by assisting in the sandbagging effort. |
